Lantestina begins in Bedekovićeve grabe — a protected natural monument of wet meadows in Međimurje, northern Croatia, and part of the EU’s Natura 2000 network.
It is a rare, untouched valley where the rare Livadni plavci butterflies, the medicinal Great Burnet, ants and season all depend on one another. A share of every product sold returns to Međimurska priroda, to protect this fragile balance for the generations to come.
